Elsevier will give two presentations:
Elsevier: An information analytics company
What is Elsevier about, how is it to work here, how useful can your PhD be when looking for a career beyond the academic arena?
Are researchers embracing Open Science for better research?
During this presentation, Elsevier would like to create awareness among the PhD community as to what steps Elsevier is taking to promote Open Science.
Open Science is a term increasingly used to describe a more collaborative, open, transparent, effective, and efficient research environment, partly driven by new and emerging technologies. Publishers and research information providers are at the forefront of open science initiatives, helping drive activities that can enhance research performance and ensure clear signals of integrity issues in an open environment, as well as bringing science closer to society.
The workshops will be given by Floris de Hon.
