Samira Rezaei is a PhD student in the Data Science and System Complexity(DSSC) research group at Graduate School of Science and Technology. She is involved in a combined project between Johann Bernoulli Institute (JBI) , Kapteyn institutes for Computer Science and astronomy in the University of Groningen. She is also collaborating with ASTRON as an external partner. Her research aims to develop a data science model for exploration of complex celestial objects which emit strong radio waves. She has a master degree in the field of Information Technology from University of Tehran, Iran. During her graduate studies, she focused on novel data analytics methods to solve a real life problem in cellular network management.
