Linda Steg “Intrinsic motivation and pro-environmental actions”

Prof. dr. Linda Steg is professor of Environmental Psychology. Her research focuses on the interaction between people and their environment, answering questions such as “How to stimulate environmentally-friendly behavior?” and “What are the effects of environmental conditions on people’s wellbeing?”. She is also involved in a major project of the European Energy Research Alliance for which she studies the public opinion on shale gas and this year she became a new member of The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts & Sciences since “her research helps policymakers influence people’s behavior”.
