Trishla Sinha

Trishla Sinha, The Netherlands, GSMS

Trishla Sinha holds a bachelor degree in medicine and is currently pursuing a MD/PhD tract at the Department of Genetics in the UMCG. Her research involves the study of maternal and infant microbiome and its interaction with health. Her research is part of the LifeLines NEXT cohort, consisting of 1500 mother-infant pairs, in which mothers’ and newborns’ microbiome, immunological and metabolic development is studied longitudinally in order to investigate the influence of environmental, (epi)genomic and social factors on early life development, together with phenotypic markers of healthy ageing. While  not working on her research or interning at hospitals, Trishla likes to travel and organize social events.
