Dhr. Stephan van Duin studied biology at the University of Wageningen, and was incredibly fascinated by all aspects of the world we live in. Instead of working as a university researcher, he is now specialized in communicating research findings to a general audience, making use of a wide array of outlets: Newspapers, TV-shows, magazines, and even festivals and museums, where he helps to develop programs and exhibitions. Stephan is co-owner of The Online Scientist, a company that helps scientists to reach out to their desired public. As science communication and societal relevance gain more emphasis in our daily work as PhD-researcher, attend his talk! Stephan will explain how to disseminate research findings amongst a laymen audience.
